Officially joined the hype... I am now an iphone owner...
So far... no real enjoyment experienced. Pretty sure I wrestled with the goddamn thing for an hour to be able to download apps...
I also decided to go to the movies right after I got the phone but had no idea how to turn it to vibrate or even turn the phone off. Had to send emergency text to all iphone users I knew to find out... Pretty sure they were LOLing pretty sure at my derp moment.

Oh hello freedom~~~
I have finished my exams. To be exact, I have finished all my exams Wednesday December 15, 2001 @ 10:00PM. This is the earliest day I have ever finished. Thank god it is all done. There are so many people still writing their exams..Poor babies!
As soon as my first semester exams are done, I usually find myself scrambling to get Christmas gifts before I go home. Last minute Christmas shopping really sucks. I went for my first round of shopping today and the mall was so crowded. I would love getting gifts to all those I care about only if I was not bombarded with hundreds of people. It had been awhile since I shopped. I think it has been over 2 months? Ugh I was so drained out of energy afterwards. I fell right asleep after dinner. Probably the best 1-2hrs of nap I had in awhile...
I can't wait to go back into that jungle tomorrow for my second round...(please note the sarcasm here). I really really hope that I won't need to go back after tomorrow.

Procrastination
So I should be studying for my exam this Friday but instead....
I started to think about weddings...specifically, my future weddings.
Most girls I know have a pretty decent outline of what they want. They have the flowers, colour scheme, dress style, hair style, first dance song, etc etc etc all planned out. Am I abnormal or something? I have never really given deep thought about all this. Of course I want to get married in the future...(took a brief moment to think about what I wanted to say next, but there was silence....which was odd because I knew I started making tea for myself...Turned around, and yup totally forgot to turn on the kettle...anyways...).
This is my life outline: get married around 27-28, get a pug right afterwards then have children before 30. But it just occurred to me that I never actually thought about my wedding day. How odd....
One side of me feels that weddings are so overrated. I mean why do you need to spend all that money for... But another side of me feels that I do want a wedding...I want to wear a wedding dress...I want to have my first dance as husband and wife...I want a wedding cake...
Perhaps a small size wedding will be my solution.....
What am I even talking about ... That was so random... anyways prob should get back to studying....

Its the most ____ time of the year~~~~~~~~~
I have no motivation left.
I think this is the usual pattern every year.
By the end of a semester, I have no motivation left to study.
I don't want to study.
During first semester, I want to go celebrate Christmas. During second semester, I want to go out and enjoy the warm weather.
I just want freedom.
I hear that everything only gets better after you hit rock bottom. I think this is what I am going through. I gotta get through this exam week of hell before I can run out that door and get in the Christmas spirit.
Must focus my attention back on folliculogenesis then on my dear old pal Homer&Hesiod then finally to hypothesis tests.
I will end this post with this one word: DERP

Awkward moment
@ a delicious frozen yogurt place:
Worker: Hello.
Me: Hi.. (place my bowl of frozen yogurt to be weighed)>
Worker: Your total comes to $3.71.
Me: (looking for my wallet in my purse)/
Worker: Do you have our points card?
Me: No I don't...
Worker: Do you need our points card?
Me: ...........................No thanks......................... (pay for my food, and get the fuck out of there).
What..do I look fat or something??? Pretty sure I have not been there since...like a year ago!
OH! which reminds me. The manager of this place also is convinced that I am like a VIP customer there.
Every time he sees me, he says, "Oh I remember you. You were here with your friend(s) last time."
....No I was not..... I have no idea who he mistakens me for every time, but I just smile and nod.
It should be noted that:
a) Yes I am Asian.
b) HOWEVER, he (the manager) is Asian as well.

RANDOM QUESTIONS
- Are you an innie or an outie?
Innie. I actually never knew outie existed until I came to Canada. The very first time I saw an outie was during my swimming lesson (I loved swimming when I was little, there is another random info about me for ya'll). There was this boy with an outie. I was so amazed...pretty sure I stared at him (more specifically his bellybutton) for good 5 minutes. - Have you ever written a song?
No... I cannot even sing to save me life. - Can you make change for a dollar right now?
Sadly, no. I have barely any cash on me these days...Life of a poor university student sucks. - Have you ever been in the opposite sex's public toilet?
Of course. Hasn't everyone? I've actually ventured into the male washroom multiple times. Thankfully? no one was there when I went in. I am extremely jealous of men. How is it fair that they get to pee standing up! I think everyone should evolve to be able to pee standing up... It's so convenient. - Have you ever written a poem?
Yes. More like I was forced to for school. I cannot see the beauty in poetry. Poems are....very dull + confusing for me. - Do you like catsup on or beside your fries?
What the heck is a catsup? Is this a typo for ketchup? If it is catsup, than I prefer to have none of that with my fries. If it is ketchup, I don't give a damn where it is as long as it is there. - Have you ever been a boy/girl scout?
No... but I wish! I remember I was invited to the brownies friendship day event thingish when I was in elementary school by my friend. I had such good time. My favourite part was decorating a pen with threads. - Have you ever written a book?
No... I love reading but I hate writing. - Have you ever broken a mirror?
Story of my life. - Are you superstitious?
I am but I'm not... I follow the rules: I don't open umbrellas inside, I don't walk under ladders, etc etc etc. However, I do break a lot of mirrors (by accident of course). ANd then I feel terrible about it because you know what they say, 7 years of bad luck. Then I forget it about it ... after like a day. - What is your biggest pet peeve?
Religious people who force their religion on to you.. Religious people who do not follow all their beliefs and rules. - Do you slurp your drink after it's gone?
Only when I am still thirsty or when I am hoping that I may be able to get at least another sip out of that delicious drink I just inhaled. - Have you ever blown bubbles in your milk?
...No... - Would you rather eat a Big Mac or a Whopper?
BIG MAC BIG MAC BIG MAC BIG MAC BIG MAC BIG MAC BIG MAC - Have you ever gone skinny-dipping?
No... I always found skinny-dipping weird. Whats so cool about swimming naked? Pretty sure it wouldn't feel orgasmic since it probably feels the same as taking a bath. I guess there is that whole this-is-so-sexy-let-me-turn-you-on-thing when you do it with the person who you are attracted to. But...why not just have sex instead of swimming naked... - Would you ever parachute out of a plane?
FUCK NO. That is all. - What's the most daring thing you've done?
Eat meat. - When you are at the grocery store, do you ask for paper or plastic?
I didn't even know there was a paper option. I bring my own grocery bags =D ! So should you... - True or False: You would rather eat steak than pizza.
FALSE - Did you have a baby blanket?
Yes... Well you see, my actual baby blanket got so worn out that my mom had to throw it out (it was beyond repair). So when I was 7ish years old, my mom got me a new blanket to replace the one she threw out. I still have that one. So technically it is not my baby blanket but it is still near and dear to my heart. - Have you ever tried to cut your own hair?
Yupp. However, I was never brave enough to give myself like an actual haircut. I would just cut about 5 cm off a strand of hair.
Relating to this tho: NEVER LET YOUR DAD CUT YOUR HAIR UNLESS YOU ARE COMPLETELY SURE THAT HE IS SOMEWHAT GOOD AT IT OR HE IS A HAIRDRESSER. So the story is that I begged my parents to let me get bangs when I was little. My mom would tell me everytime that I look better without bangs. I was not convinced however. I was so desperate to get bangs that I agreed to let my dad cut them when my dad said that he can do it. I didn't realize it then, but now looking at the pictures...holy crap. what the hell was i thinking. The bangs were cut very straight...straight like as if he used a ruler to cut it. Needless to say, I never allowed my dad to cut my hair after that. - How did that turn out?
Oh oops.. Read above. - Have you ever sleepwalked?
No.. If I ever saw someone sleep walking I would be terrified. I have this imagination that sleepwalkers would have their eyes wide open and walk around like zombies. - Have you ever had a birthday party at McDonalds?
No... But I was such a big fan of McDonalds. Happy meals = my childhood. - Can you flip your eye-lids up?
No...I'm Asian. I wish I had big enough eye-lids to flip up. - Are you double jointed?
At my elbow and my thumb. - If you could be any age, what age would you be?
Hmmm... 19. Legal to drink but still too young to take on actual real life responsibilities. - Have you ever gotten gum stuck in your hair?
Yes... I had to cut my hair every time UNTIL someone told me about pulling peanut butter on it to slide it out. Note: This advice actually works, except you may need to wash your hair afterwards. - Do you ride roller coasters?
Do YOU ride roller coasters? - What's your favorite carnival ride?
Ferris wheel I guess. But I just go for the food. Candy apples, cotton candies <333 - What is your dream car?
TRUCK + my own hot cowboy to drive me around. Note: hot cowboy must come with the truck or else I don't want it. - What is your favorite cartoon of all time?
OMG this is torture... ummm..ummmmu...ummm it has to be a tie between Arthur and Sailormoon. - Have you ever eaten a dog biscuit?
No... They never looked or smelled delicious enough. - If so, would you eat another one?
- If you were in a car sinking in a lake, what would you do first?
Get the fuck out of there? I would take off my seat belt. Open the door if the window isn't down enough for me to climb out. Get the hell out of there. Swim to shore/solid ground. Probably be scarred for life. - Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
Nope. - Can you pick something up with your toes?
Yes... And this ability is very very very convenient. If I drop something, I will usually pick it up with my toes. - How many remote controls do you have in your house?
2 - Have you ever fallen asleep in school?
Everydayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - How many times have you flown in an airplane in the last year?
NONE. WOW so depressing. - How many foreign countries have you visited?
7. - If you were out of shape, would you compete in a triathlon if you were somehow guaranteed to win a big, gaudy medal?
LOL I AM OUT OF SHAPE RIGHT NOW. And hellls no. Come on...for a measly medal? PLEASE. It's gotta be something amazing. Perhaps at least $300 dollars. - Would you rather be rich and unhappy, or poor and happy?
K I find this ridiculously. Rich people can be happy too. How can you be poor and happy? Bcuz money doesnt buy you happiness? What if your husband/wife leaves you cause you are too damn poor. What if no one will marry you cuz your too poor. What if you cannot give the basic needs to your children cuz your to damn poor. What if you can't send your child to university cuz your too poor. What if you cannot save your loved ones; life cuz your too poor to pay for their surgery/treatment. I believe you cannot be truly happy if your poor. You must have a balance. Money is important to a certain degree. I choose rich and unhappy because this at least gives me the possibility of finding happiness. - If you fell into quicksand, would you try to swim or try to float?
K WHAT THE FUCK... How the fuck do you float in a quicksand? How the fuck do you swim in a quicksand? Pretty sure I would stay calm + still, and get someone to pull me out. - Do you ask for directions when you are lost?
Yup - Have you ever held a Mexican jumping bean?
No.... - Are you more like Cinderella or Alice in Wonderland?
Welllll..... I guess my "fuck you and everything you stand for" kind of attitude goes more with Alice than Cinderella. Although if you watch Cindrella 3, she starts standing up for herself! - Would you rather have an ant farm with no ants or a box of crayons with broken points?
Box of crayons with broken points..duh you can sharpen them. - Do you prefer light or dark bread?
ANY KIND OF (WESTERN) BREAD WILL DO. - Do you prefer scrambled or fried eggs?
Fried eggs - sunny side up is where its at. - Have you ever been in a car that ran out of gas?
No... are people retarded? Don't answer that please. - Do you talk in your sleep?
Sometimes I do... - Would you rather shovel snow or mow the lawn?
Shovel snow. It's so much more fun. Plus I love winter. - Have you ever played in the rain?
Yes I have played in the rain. I have also played soccer in the rain (best weather ever to play soccer). I have also walked+ran in the rain. I have also been caught in the rain. But I have never kissed in the rain sadly. - Did you make mud pies?
No... I didn't really play with mud. I was too girly for that when I was little. I only wore dresses when I was younger, clearly I wouldn't have played in the mud. - Have you ever broken a bone?
Nope. KNOCK ON WOOD (See this is my superstitious side coming out, I am referring to a past question asked). - Would you climb a very high tree to save a kitten?
No. Firstly, I don't like heights. Secondly, WTF is up with cats getting stuck in a tree. I have never seen this happen, but I have always heard about it. Someone please explain to me what possesses a cat to cllimb so goddamn high that it scares itself. - Can you tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator?
No....Can you? How do you even do this? OHOHOHOH I remember something. One is bigger in size than other... can't remember which one is suppose to be bigger. - Do you drink pepsi or coke?
No preference. I prefer iced tea though. - What's your favorite number?
3 or 12. - If you were a car, would you be an SUV or a sports car?
I would be a environmentally friendly car. - Have you ever accidentally taken something from a hotel?
Yes...of course, it was accidental each time... - Have you ever slipped in the bathtub?
Yes. One of worst experiences in life. I either pull my back muscle or get the biggest bruise ever. - Do you use regular or deodorant soap?
I don't use soap. I use a body wash or for my face, I use face cleanser. - Have you ever locked yourself out of the house?
Too many to count. I curse myself each time and swear to god that I won't be damn stupid next time, but it seems that I never learn. - Would you rather make your living as a singing cowboy or as one of the Simpsons voices?
SINGING COWBOY - If you could invite any movie star to your home for dinner, who would it be?
Hugh Jackman, baby, give me a calllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!! - Do you need corrective lenses?
Yes. I really wish I could get laser eye surgery but I cannot stand the thought of me being awake for it. Imagine seeing a layer of your eye being peeled off....GROSS. Perhaps one day I will grow some balls and get it done. - Would you hang out with / date someone your best friend didn't like?
Ya... I am the one hanging out/dating him, not my friend. If she/he was my true friend, then they would support me in whatever decision I make. I mean, in the end, maybe that friend may be right and that guy as an asshole. But at least let me make that decision myself. - Would you hang out with someone your best friend liked, but you didn't like?
Only if it was with my friend. I obviously wouldn't hang out with them one on one. - Have you ever returned a gift?
Noooo... I always feel so guilty. They spent their time and money on it for me. - Would you give someone else a gift that had been given to you?
No... Never understood this concept. - If you could attend an Olympic Event, what would it be?
Winter: Skating, snowboarding

Too lazy to count but at least over 10. - If your grandmother gave you a gift that you already have, would you tell her?
Thanks. (Not really close to my grandmother) - Do you sing in the car?
Yes and I also sing in my room, sometimes in the shower if no one is there, sometimes when I am happy or sometimes infront of my bf (this is a recent thing). I only let the closet people I know hear me sing because I am scared that people would disown me if they heard it. - What is your favorite breed of dog?
PUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUGPUG
SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY ME A PUG
PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE
PLEASE - Would you donate money to feed starving animals in the winter?
Yes - What is your favorite fruit?
Blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, blackberry. Ya... berries. - What is your least favorite fruit?
Kiwi... Soooooo sour. - What kind of fruit have you never had?
Pomegranate. I wanna try so bad! I love pomegranate juices so I may like it. - If you won a $5,000 shopping spree to any store, which store would you pick?
I would just go get myself a Prada purse then go buy a pug. - What brand sports apparel do you wear the most?
Hmm.. I really don;t care as long as I like the clothing. - Are/were you a good student?
Sometimes...KKKK FINE, Yes I am. - Among your friends, who could you arm wrestle and beat?

Painter. I actually used to draw/paint very well. I never could sing. - How many years will/did you end up going to college?
5 years. I don't want to graduate!!!! It's always so depressing when you are moving into different stages of life. People are constantly moving away, and you don't know when you will see them again. I want to live in a bubble where all my friends and family live together so I can see them everyday! - Have you ever had surgery?
No... - Would you rather be a professional figure skater or professional football player?
Figure skater (for reasons, please read previous questions). - What do you like to collect?
I would like to collect happiness. - How many collectibles do you have?

This is country
Sooooooooooooooooo.....I am a terrible person. I know.
Pretty sure the last time I wrote on this blog was in May...and now its July.
But my excuse is that I have been either being enslaved or stressing out.
Summer research is apparently not all fun and games. It's actually so stressful... Before I started, I thought that it would be perfect cause I would be getting research experience, a tan and exercise as well. It turns out, I am more stressed out here than during the school year. I cannot even see my friends, I cannot go home, and I cannot do anything about it.
Life sucks basically. What sucks even more is that I think I am going to stick with my lab group during the school year. I really don't want to but it seems like a good experience thing for my resume (I know I am such a loser but still). What a terrible life I have... I am constantly in a state of depression. Basically thinking of drowning myself in the pond that we have on site.

Farm Girl
The picture above is from two weeks ago when a group of us were tilling. Look at those boots! So freaken muddy. And yes, those blue gloves are nitrile lab gloves that I had to use as garden/work gloves to weed out the weed... That is what you call resourceful!
Tilling = hard work... Although I never took part in the running the tiller, all that weeding, raking and shoveling hurt my back so much. Thankfully, that was the only day of that week where it did not rain. Doing all that in the rain would have not been fun at all.
This is a crappy picture, I admit. I forgot to take it when I was actually near it (probably since I couldn't wait to get out of there). That is the picture of one of the 6 plots (7 by 8m). Those silver looking things would be the deer fences so that no deer eats any of my babies (babies as in brassica). Basically there are 6 bamboo sticks with twine all around them and then pie plates hanging off of the twine so that they can make banging noises to scare off the deer. Lastly, that blueish looking thing next to our plot would be the watering cans. Since its so muddy out there, no vehicles could get through to drop off the large troughs filled with water. So now I have to manually bring those watering cans every time I want to water... Water in large amounts = my back breaking.
To all you people who went to Highpark to see the cherry blossoms, well get ready to eat your heart out. cause I have this right next to my plot!:

That's right! It's cherry blossoms! One day they just appeared...so pretty though. No need to go to Highpark when I have this in my backyard :P
So last week we planted the seeds finally. I had sunburns, bug bites and mud everywhere. A week later, sunburn has turned into a tan, mud has been washed off BUT freaking bug bites are still torturing me! They are so so so so so so soooooo ITCHY. I want to swim in a pool medicated anti-itch cream. They are all over my body! And they are sooo big, red and bulging out (ew). They honestly take turns itching...in the morning it starts from my arms, then to my stomach then to my legs and then at night back to my arms. Someone save me please!
I am slowly turning into a hippy, farm girl. I have the farmer's tan, bug bites, and always filled with mud...
Someone needs to build me a pool that has mixture of sunscreen and bugsspray so every morning I can take a bath in it and then walk out of my house. If anyone is willing to build this please contact me through e-mail ASAP!
<3 Peace out

I bet you're jealous
Xogus brought me flowers just randomly when he came up to see me.
I bet all of you are jealous >: )
Sooooo pretty, except there was no vase in the house so I had to use a beer pitcher.
It's been a week and they are still alive today!!

In the middle of nowhere
Helllllllloooo Summer....
After being home for a little over a week, I have unfortunately moved out into the wilderness...
That lovely image above would be the view from the dinning room in the old house that I am staying at.
Such a lovely view.... Except that this was the only thing that entertained me since I had no internet till last night.
Yes I have survived 4 days without any internet, and TV.
Now that I am finally back in touch with the rest of the world, my goal is to be able to sleep comfortably in the top bunk that I have somehow got stuck with.
I couldnt sleep for the first few nights due to that stupid bunk bed making noises every single second I moved. Also, since I was on the top bunk, I couldn't even get out (cause of the fear that I would wake up my roommate), or read since I had no light.
I honestly do not even know why I signed up for this, since:
1) I am so not the outdoor, nature loving kind of person
2) I hate living in middle of nowhere, and have to rely on others to drive me to just to get groceries
3) There is absolutely nothing to do here, and I get bored easily
4) I always get home sick
5) I cannot cook, and there are no delivery, take-out or any restaurants here.
6 ) I get sun burned easily (Yup, I have the worst sunburn on the back of my neck after being outside for not even 3 hours...and it wasn't even that sunny).
7) I suck at manual labour...
8) I love sleeping in
9) I love sleeping in
10) I love sleeping in
We shall see how the rest of the 4 months go. I am sure it will get better? more enjoyable?
I just really want to go home right now...!

Getting ready
I am a terrible blogger.... However, my excuse is that these past few days have been far from exciting.
All that happened was just hang outs with friends, eating, sleeping, watching shows on the computer and shopping.
Yup, that's my excuse.
I cannot believe that I have to leave home very soon... I don't wanna go!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been slowly getting ready to go...Today I bought sunscreen, bug spray and hat....and a jacket from Roots :P. OMG its sooo cute! Check it out: http://canada.roots.com/FieldJacket/WomensJacketsOuterwear//02010312,default,pd.html?cgid=womensSweatersAndCardigans&selectedColor=2300
Looove it.
I am really kind of dreading to leave home... I love home+family+friends.
I hate living alone...especially this time since I won't even have internet apparently and it is in the middle of no where...
I have no plans on how I am going to survive. I can't just go out and buy some food or grab some groceries whenever I feel like anymore.
The more and more I get ready to leave, the more and more I feel depressed.
I am so pessimistic!
Perhaps I will feel different when I get there ....I hope.

Shorts, shorts, shorts
I hate going to the dentist.
I hate, hate, hate, hate going to the dentist.
The sound of those metal tools scraping against your teeth...EW.
I, unfortunately, was forced by my mother to go to the dentists today.
Good news: I survived it. I have no cavities.
Bad news: My gums feel so numb. I have that awful taste of whatever they use to polish your teeth in my mouth. I have another appointment for next year.
The only good thing about this experience is that people who work there are sooooo nice.
While I was at the dentist, my mother went to buy a portable BBQ grill.
Rosa's accomplishment of the day: Assembling a BBQ grill from scratch. I actually had to assemble all the pieces, put in all the bolts and nuts, then screw them in tightly. I was so scared that I would mess something up and that either it wont work or something terrible might happen (like an explosion). However, in the end, it works! I shall post a picture of it later.
After all that hard work, I obviously needed to reward myself so I went shopping <3.
I needed some summer clothing, but I always find that if you go shopping with specific things in mind, you never find any of it.
I failed to find any shirts... Actually I lied... I found one tank top.
One thing I did find in every store I went into was...SHORTS. I am so ready for summer.
Sadly, my shopping spree is not done yet. I need to go shopping again to find some shirts. I really need them. I, also, found the cutest pair of shoes that I did not buy today. I think I am going to get those as well...
There is no such thing as having too many pairs of shoes.....Right??????!???!???

3:00PM: Cram session begins
6:00PM: Panic, panic, panic
7:00PM: Enters the most dreadful room in the world.

Hellllllllllllo freedom!
Wednesday April 27, 2011
4-5:00PM: After packing ridiculous amount of stuff, now I am back home.
It always seems that whenever I move out, there is wwwaayyyy more stuff than when I moved in.
Without my dear friend Xogus' help, I don't know how I would've survived that...
As of today, stairs = my worst enemy...
However, what was so amazing is that the thunderstorm just ended as soon as I started moving out so that during the process, there was such a nice cool breeze.
8:00PM: After all that sweat and hard work , I am officially home, My life will consist of me eating and then sleeping and then eating and then sleeping for the upcoming 2 weeks. I love life.
12:00AM: To celebrate this freedom, I have created this blog... I don't know how this will turn out but I shall give it a go...
Good night (:
